WELCOME to Rusty Oaks Ranch! We're located in Blanco, Texas - just 45 minutes west of Austin and 45 minutes north of San Antonio at the gateway to the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
Our Myotonic Goats are bred for heavy muscling, improved resistance to parasites, ease of kidding and excellent maternal instincts. As individuals, they display varying degrees of myotonia ("fainting"). We have blue-eyed stock along with brown-eyed and a variety of coat colors and lengths.
Our goats are hardy, healthy and happy. They are pasture raised with supplemental minerals, receive regular vaccinations and are de-wormed as needed. Though we strive for maximum growth with minimal outside input, our kids and working animals - pregnant & lactating does & breeding bucks - are provided with additional high quality hay, protein blocks and limited pelleted feed if pasture conditions are not adequate for their needs during winter or drought. All of our animals receive individual attention and lots of TLC!
We invite you to browse our site, enjoy the pictures and learn about this wonderful breed. Whether you are wanting to add meat and vigor to your existing goat herd or just want an unusual addition to your hobby farm, we have the animal for you. We usually have kids available from January to May and breeding stock available throughout the year.
Thank you for visiting our site. Please feel free to Contact Us if you have any questions.
